Abstract:
    In the current project we want to improve the thermal conductivity and cyclic stability of Ca(OH)2 powder for its use as thermal energy storage medium for concentrated solar power plants.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Has any body seen a system in which one can store heat in the summer and use that heat in winters? No? lets make this thing possible by storing energy by means of thermo-chemical energy storage.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Power plants and industries. The technology can be incorporated anywhere provided process heat is involved and also for installation of power plants in remote areas.
How will the solution works
    The proposed materials are available abundantly. We are currently in position to produce bulk scale materials having better cycliability. We shall be working to improve the thermal conductivity of our material in next phase. Afterwards we shall be working with system engineers for the development of prototype reactor to be installed with a steam turbine of capacity 500 watts.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Our competitors are in broader sense anybody working on renewable energy. However very few are working on storage technologies even across the world. We are in this sense trailblazers aiming to revolutionize the world through fundamental research in concatenation with technological solutions.
