Abstract:
A wearable hardware for old people and dementia patients which will be connected to their phones. With touch of a button, location coordinates will be sent to loved ones via cloud.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
Dementia patients, Alzeihmer's patients and old disabled people often have difficulty in finding their way back, particularly if they are secluded in an unknown area. What if they could wear a smart gear, which would be connected to the phone in their pocket? Their loved ones will know of location.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
Old people Dementia patients Anyone who feels unsafe traveling alone
How will the solution works
STM micro-controller 32 bit will be used in collaboration with Bluetooth and GPS module, which will communicate with an android app. The app will maintain a database as well as contact server, in which we have already fed contacts of their loved ones. We are pitching this idea based on a monthly subscription model.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
Based upon our research, no one is doing work in this field in pakistan. However, we have found that a US company called GuardLlama is doing similar work for property agents in USA. Aside from mere location sharing, we will also transmit voice, pictures and make our application intelligent.
