Abstract:
    For many decades, waste heat emissions from industries has led to grave insidious consequences for our environment. Stirling Engines provide quite an efficient way to recover this rejected energy.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Statistical data show that on average 10-15 kWh per ton of clinker, produced in e.g. a cement rotary kiln, of heat is rejected to the surroundings, hence leading to adverse effects viz. global warming. Our idea demonstrates that we can recover about 5-6 kWh of this heat loss per ton.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   The major constituents involved in producing waste heat are metallurgical refining industries and cement factories, and this idea tends to significantly reduce their Gas Fuel intake. This would balance the supply and demand for our SUI gas project, helping thousands of indigenous families around.
How will the solution works
    The Stirling Engine works by converting thermal energy to useful work. This solution would consist of first employing a Sterling Engine at the heat dissipation points of our system, where we can convert the wasted thermal energy in to any required work and as a bonus further reuse the heat emission from our Stirling Engine's heat sink to preheat any present feed air in the kiln or furnace. This would save loads of heat wastage and make the whole industrial process way more efficient.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Major competitors include Thermal, Diesel and Gas Turbine Power Plants which utilize the rejected energy in various industrial processes. Our solution stands out because it's maximum efficiency by far is the highest; it works on any heat source; is way quieter and has the least maintenance costs.
