Abstract:
    Hospital Muawin is an automatic assistant that answers telephone calls of patients or potential visitors and relays required information in Urdu language even when the receptionist is unavailable
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    In many hospitals of Pakistan around 35-40% of calls go unattended because the receptionists are either busy or unavailable to pick calls and to provide critical information to people in appropriate time. An automatic call handling system is needed to cater for such situations to save time and lives
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   The benefactors include general public across the country particularly those belonging to rural areas who have to travel long to see a doctor.So instead of travelling to a hospital and getting to know that the required doctor or service is unavailable,people can easily call our system anytime.
How will the solution works
    A call handling server connected to the telephone will receive calls and pass the voice to a Speech-to-Text module that will convert the voice into text. Next, the Natural Language Processing module will extract intents and entities from the text and generate a reply based on the query asked by the caller. This reply text is then passed to Text-to-Speech module to be converted into voice message. Finally, the voice message is passed to call handling server to send this reply back to the caller.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    We don't have any market competitors as of now because this idea of a telephone based automated system is still in its early development in Pakistan. Our solution is different from the existing system by being available 24/7 and providing accurate information in minimal time.
