Abstract:
    Automation of greenhouse involves manipulating its control variables such as moisture content, humidity, temperature, etc) to produce the ideal and optimum environment for any plant’s growth and nurturing. The aim of greenhouse automation is not only reducing labor costs but also increase production, which can benefit our economy since it is agriculture dependent. For this purpose We have designed a greenhouse structure. After analysis of different types of materials, we have selected the ideal materials for this application. Electricity is supplied to greenhouse using solar panels. We have used sensor nodes at different places in green house to get more accurate knowledge about our control variables so that we apply the optimum adjustment at each area in green house). Then by using PLC we have automated our greenhouse by sending appropriate instructions to actuators for adjusting control variables. For example, when temperature is low, we increase it by using heaters; we decrease it using air conditioners when it is high. Then, to notify the user about any emergency, we have used IOT based system to get data on web server and notify user through SMS by using a GSM module. The costs of this project are kept low without compromising on efficiency and performance, thus to provide a solution suitable for both industry and farmers.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    The unmet need in society in Pakistan is to increase its GDP.Pakistan's economy is agricultural dependent,21% of Our GDP is from agriculture sector,crops our not available yearly,this green house will produce those crops in off season to increase our GPD. Pakistan is also suffering from pollution.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   43% of Pakistan's labour force is in Agriculture this will be a cost friendly solution for those farmers who want to increase there yield.It will also increase our GDP by producing crops in off season.It is an environment/eco system friendly solution which will decrease pollution in the atmosphere.
How will the solution works

Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    We will provide this solution at low cost compared to that available in market.We are using solar panels to make electricity in this greenhouse instead of electricity from power grid so this project is self sufficient.We are using IOT and GSM module to make it easier for user to use.
