    Biocementation is an ecofriendly method for soil stabilization. Mechanical properties can be treated by using indigenous bacteria and reactants. It has many economic and environmental benefits
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Stabilization of built up areas , remediation to single weak seam problems in slopes, to increase the bearing capacity of sandy area (35% of Pakistan) for infrastructure economically and to give an eco-friendly solutions to construction industry
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Compact-o-bacter is beneficial for infrastructure both economically and environmentally. 35% desert area of Pakistan can be treated for housing and industrial construction. This product will be able to prevent collateral damage of billion dollars caused by earthquakes
How will the solution works
    Lactobacillus and bio-mineralized solution containing urea and CaCl₂ will be injected in the soil. The urease enzyme produced by the bacteria will degrade urea into ammonium ions and bicarbonate ions. These bicarbonate ions will react with calcium ions to produce CaCO₃ that will settle in the pores of the soil increase its bearing and shear capacity. Direct Shear Test, Unconfined Compressive strength test and Constant Head Test will be done for the verification of proposed hypothesis

    All known methods often neglect environmental effects. It is carried out with natural resources and minimum labor expertise. unlike other end products, CaCO₃ is non-toxic, non-degradable and insoluble hence causes no severe problems like acidification, eutrophication and water/soil contamination
