Abstract:
    Our aim is to design and fabricate an indigenous and inexpensive DC-AC inverter using high speed components for increased efficiency, with very little switching noise hence reduced power losses.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Durability and reliability of domestic and industrial electrical appliances would be increased by using tweaked inverters. Our idea will also be effective for sensitive equipments that are used in medical and healthcare field.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   The patrons would be those who get benefit from the business value chain of power industry. In Pakistan, inverters are extensively used due to the shortage of electricity hence end customers of this product would be in greater number and most of them would be domestic patrons.
How will the solution works
    We aim to develop tweaked inverter using sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal and high speed IGBTS & diodes. Sinusoidal PWM will provide fast switching and hence reduced power loss whereas high speed components will minimize harmonics in the output. The generated output signal will be close to pure sine wave hence running AC loads efficiently.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Companies that make expensive and inefficient inverters are our direct competitors. Tweaked inverters are inexpensive and would provide greater efficiency. Our solution includes use of analog components instead of digital that will enhance the performance of inverters and hence of appliances too.
