Abstract:
RAD is an application designed to help Dyslexic kids in their daily routines, so that they can with the help of simple training techniques read a bit efficiently and live more independent life.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
Dyslexic children find it hard competing with the other children despite having same intelligence. We are targeting their rehabilitation switching from the conventional methods to virtual reality which is more playful for children.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
Dyslexic Children will benefit from this. One in five students are dyslexics. This makes a good 15% of the population.
How will the solution works
A VR app will be developed for dyslexic patients and trainers for remedial therapies ,2 or 3 standard procedures being followed worldwide will be developed in VR ,subject will have to wear a headset which will enhance focusing ability and will interact with the application virtually for different reading and sight exercises. Subject will chose the options from main menu. Exercise will be picked and result will be displayed upon it's succession. Reminders will be generated as pop up notifications
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
There are some apps that provide solutions for dyslexia but most of them focus on assessment rather than rehabilitation. We focus on rehabilitation. Moreover, we provide solution in virtual reality to introduce the immersion.
