| diabetes is a chronic disease and its prevalence in Pakistan is about 12%. the medications use for diabetes have a lot of side effects such as weight gain, low blood sugar, liver disease, anaemia risk, swelling of legs whereas pro lac will be completely natural and will reduce the burden of disease. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| people suffering from hyperglycemia or at a risk of it will be the beneficiaries. people with a family history of diabetes or the patients who use beta blockers and are at a risk of getting effected by hyperglycemia can use it too to delay or prevent the onset of diabetes. |
| How will the solution works |
| soya milk fermented by Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Lactobacillus acidophilus will help in the management of hyperglycemia by it's antioxidant and enzyme inhibitory activities. fermented soya milk has high enzyme inhibitory activity for α – amylase and α−glucosidase. the inhibition of these enzymes slows down the digestion of carbohydrates and thus they are not converted to simple sugars and are not absorbed in the blood. so blood sugar stays normal. |

| in Pakistan the dietary management of hyperglycemia does not involve the use of any such product uptil now. so in pakistan there are no competitors at right now. |
