Abstract:
    Disability problem has become more severe due to lack of automated solutions.Thus,there is a crucial need to develop a real time assistive automated system which can operate on person’s brain signals.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Projected number of disabled in Pakistan is 5 million. Patients with severe disabilities can't move but they can communicate interfacing their brain with some external device.We are trying to make a system that detects brain waves of these patients and allow them to interact with world.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   According to a WHO report, over a billion people, which makes about 15% of the world's population, are living with some form of disability,190 million adults(15 and above) have major difficulties in limb functioning whereas in Pakistan 2.4 percent of the total are suffering from mobility impairment.
How will the solution works
    First Task is to record Brain Signals to make datasets. Then we will extract the features through methods like wavelet transform, fft etc. Next task is to develop a classification code using a suitable algorithm. Real-time data will be inserted into classification code after denoising. Classification code will give result on basis of Real-time data features. That result will be given to micro-controller which will be programmed to switch ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’ the relay to control any device.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Competitors: Smart home systems that incorporate radio wave communication through remote control/smart device and assistive technology products such as eye-tracking technology, exoskeleton,care-providing robot etc.Our solution involves no muscular movement of any kind as it works just by thoughts.
