Abstract:
    Solar Panel Cleaning Mechanism which could remove the accumulated dust on its surface on a regular basis and maintain the solar power plant output. It will be semi autonomous.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    It is easy to just install solar panels and forget about them but neglecting them can seriously damage their output and hence reduce their overall efficiency greatly. We hope to combat this and make sure all solar panels are producing energy as efficiently as possible.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   By the end of 2016 1.8% of the worlds total electricity consumption will be provided by solar panels.Top installers of solar panels are China, USA and India. Benefactors in our local market would include industries such as Koh I Noor mills and universities such as NUST and COMSATS.
How will the solution works
    The mechanism will consist of 2 axis joined together. The first axis would be vertical and the second horizontal. They would both span across the front of the solar panels. Our cleaner would be fixed in between the vertical axis and it will be allowed to move up and down on the solar panels surface all the while cleaning them. The vertical axis itself will move horizontally across the horizontal axis. This would allow the bot to clean the entire array of panels.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    We have competitors all around the world however this problem has relatively very little product solutions. Namely our few competitors would be ZSOLAR and ICRI washbot. Our solution is much more specific to our benefactors use case and much more cost effective.
