Abstract:
    Creating four DNA vaccines against four serotypes of dengue augmented with vitamin D gene, combining those foure to make a tetravelent vaccine, packaging it into liposomes and checking its efficacy.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral infection and affects a massive population. About 2.5 billion or 40% of world population lives in the areas which are susceptible for dengue infection. At least 100 countries are affected by dengue and according to WHO almost 50 to 100 infections yearly.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   In 2017, alone in KPK, cumulative 74,820 cases were reported. It becomes lethal when severity is increased. According to WHO, globally 500,000 people suffer dengue hemorrhage fever and 22,000 deaths among children. It is the need of time to come up with the different solutions & overcome hinderance
How will the solution works
    DNA vaccines are the designed plasmids containing the gene which expresses as antigen giving immunity to the person. Extraction of genome from different serotypes or using insilico techniques to design the genome for each can help in creation of plasmid. Augmenting it with vitamin D gene will help in boosting the cell mediated immunity. Combining all four to form a tetravalent vaccine will help in the generation of immune response against four antigens at the same time.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    There are researches going on about this problem and many attenuated viruses are given are tested to generate immune responses and facing clinical trials but making a tetravalent DNA vaccine is a new idea. Though it is a long term process and requires extensive research but a very effective as well.
