Abstract:
    We aim to create a microneedle patch that will help identify multiple drug allergies in one application. This will then provide the person with information about the medicines they must avoid.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Fatal drug anaphylaxis kills uncountable people each year. Uncountable, because people do not know which drugs they are allergic to. Medicines prescribed by doctors end up killing patients, because they themselves do not know which drugs they might be allergic to.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Everyone who takes modern medicine stands a chance of being allergic to those drugs. This will potentially benefit anyone and everyone who visits a doctor and gets prescribed a medicine. Identifying potential medicines that could cause anaphylaxis, allow you to ask for alternatives.
How will the solution works
    Microneedle drug patch will have multiple drugs coated onto its needles on specific locations. Once applied, the needles will bring the drug in contact with skin cells and immune cells there. If a person is allergic, there will be an immediate immune reaction and the skin will turn red. By comparing the corresponding label on top of the patch, we can identify which drug caused the allergic response. The minute amounts of the drug will prevent a severe response.
