Abstract:
    Photocatalysis based on semiconductors is a likely approach to overcome many pollution problems and eliminate toxic organic compounds from waste-water.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Several techniques have been used for the degradation of methyl orange in wastewater. Graphene oxide/ Cu,N co-doped TiO2 increased the degradation efficiency for methyl orange to 95% which was never achieved before and this process is also environmental friendly.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Clean and pure water is the necessary need of today's society for a healthy living and my work focuses of not only cleaning wastewater but will also further be used for making biofuel. Hence, this benefits the society as well as industry.
How will the solution works
    The as-prepared samples will be used for the degradation of methyl orange or any other dyes and organic pollutants present in water by simply adding a certain calculated amount of both the samples and pollutants. The prepared solution will then be kept under bare sunlight and within a few hours the color of the dye will be discharged indicating the degradation of particular dye.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Cu and N co doped TiO2 has already been prepared and used for the degradation of methyl orange but my work focuses on composites of graphene oxide and Cu, N co-doped TiO2 which has increase in its efficiency than the other catalysts.
