What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    -Checking of haemoglobin and cholesterol requires separate tests -Inconvenience in going to a testing facility -Requires a lab -Certain precautionary steps need to be taken with blood sampling and injections -Existing portable devices give inaccurate results -Longer time is needed for calculation
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
    It is estimated that 1 in 3 Pakistani's have Haemoglobin deficiency or have cholesterol, yet they can be only tested in the Laboratories.The device simplicity lies in the fact that it can easily be integrated with smartphones through an application, hence it serves as a very large audience(8.4 Mil)
How will the solution works
    It uses 2 LEDs at different wavelengths to illuminate the finger and the difference in the absorption ratios that will be detected using a light detector and will provide us with the results. Due to this simple concept, it shall give a minimal error; producing accurate results. Photoplethysmography (PPG) to measure haemoglobin, Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) to measure cholesterol. PPG is a simple and low-cost optical technique to detect blood volume changes.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Currently, research papers have been written to detect haemoglobin and cholesterol non invasively but no device is being used in the hospitals at the moment, so its the best time to make a device that supports these features.
