Abstract:
    Restoring limb movement for those who have lost the ability to use either there upper or lower limb. This includes amputees as well as those with lower limbs but suffering gait disabilities.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    In Pakistan, there are over 200,000 lower/upper limb amputees. But more importantly, Pakistani population with disease inflicted gait/lower limb disabilities exceed one million. Our unique, powered lower limb orthosis and prosthesis aims to improve the lives of these people at fraction of the cost.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   In Pakistan, many people due to unhealthy diet suffer from degenerative conditions like strokes, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Parkinson's etc. Side effects of these conditions include gait disabilities. Our orthosis aims to restore their gait. Our prosthesis, lower and upper, restores limb movements.
How will the solution works
    The customers will come to there appointment, get there affected limb scanned, creating a 3D model. This will then be post processed and rapidly prototyped to create an orthosis faster. The prosthesis socket will be developed at AFIRM. Once done, these will be attached to our patent pending actuator and Modular control system. This will then be attached to the patient and fine tuned via our gait tuning app. The upper limb is similar implementing the same control.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    The competitors include Ottobock hand, Bebionic hand, Biome lower Limb. These are all international products developed in the States. Due to research and development costs, the product costs are so high that majority of sufferers cannot afford these, especially in developing companies.
