Idea Name: Oceanus
Slogan: Diving Solutions
Startup Domain: Safe Cities underwater exploration
Abstract:
    We intend to present the idea of remotely-operated underwater vehicle capable to collect water & explore inaccessible underwater region that are considered potentially hazardous for humans to dive in.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Our project is inspired by the Thai Cave Incident that took place in Thailand in June'18. 12 boys were stranded in a cave due to flooding of water and were rescued in 18 days. Human life was lost due to undesirable underwater conditions which included poor visibility, contaminated environment etc.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   ROV will prove beneficial to the rescue teams (underwater access, determination of any dead body);Researchers (underwater survey, water collection). In Pakistan, Special Service Group(Navy) that perform underwater rescue operations and PCRWR are the targeted main beneficiary.
How will the solution works
    ROV will be unaffected by the contaminated environment and poor visibility prevailing underwater due to its nonreactive body material and quality camera with assistant lights. It will be tethered so allowing vision system to the pilot above water surface which will be provided by the camera mounted on ROV. The body will be hydrodynamic and light-weighted aiding in easy maneuverability thus, it can access narrow passageways underwater. The water collection mechanism will aid in water sampling.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    ROVs do exist. The 2 main types are Work-Class (bulky& are quite large) & observation class (expensive & are delicate). So we intend to fabricate an amalgam of the two already existing class of ROVs. Ours will be an observation class with a rigid and concise structure.
