Idea Name: Autonomous Agribot

Abstract:
    Our aim is to create an autonomous robotic manipulator mounted on an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), which uses machine vision to take in information and spray the optimum amount and in the right areas
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Agriculture is a highly important sector,and inspite of that, our methods are out-dated and farmers are untrained while handling toxic pesticides, which is detrimental to the health of the crops as well as their own well being as miss-handling of such chemicals can cause a lot of health hazards.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Farmers, who have to manually spray pesticides and other such chemicals on plants stand to benefit alot from our idea. All the manual labor and health hazards can be avoided through the use of our idea.
How will the solution works
    The UGV mounted robot would move around the field and through the use of camera and machine vision, analyses the plants around field. When a pest or insect is recognized, the precise coordinates where a spray spurt is needed, via a Raspberry Pi, are communicated to the control system the coordinates which sends signals to vertical and horizontal motors to run to get to those coordinates and then the sprayer is activated.

    There are as such no competitors in the market, most of the work is research based as of right now.
