Idea Name: SenseBall
Slogan: Better crops, better Pakistan
Startup Domain: Agriculture
Abstract:
A smart device which will revolutionize the monitoring of data (Temperature, Humidity, Acoustics) related to crops stored in silos. The ball transmits data periodically and forecast upcoming conditions
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
In a country like Pakistan, agriculture accounts for 19.5% GDP. Every year, 12 billion dollars(Globally) worth of crops/grains are lost due to spoilage, which damages the country's economy greatly.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
In order to improve our country's economy, this problem has to be tackled. If implemented correctly, crop loss will be reduced greatly, which will be great for our country, specially now-a-days.
How will the solution works
Our Project will be directed at preventing crop loss in silos. It will: 1) Sense the temperature, humidity, CO2 emissions and monitor the sounds in the silo 2) Transmit the data to user periodically 3) spray pesticides when needed Pic micro controller will collect data from sensors and the data will be transmitted to server via GSM. the senseballs will also communicate with each other via MIWI. the servers will then transmit the data to the user via mobile application
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
We have no competitor in Pakistan. The current solutions offered are expensive and they use wired strips of sensors, which hampers the storage process. Our Product is innovative and completely wireless.
