What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? | |
HVACs are major energy consumers up to 65% of electricity bill and goes unmonitored. These HVACs on powering on generates peak and disturb peak factor, which results in high electricity bills and penalty fines (14.4 million PKR/Month in NUST) by electric supply companies. | |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? | |
The developed approach is envisioned to be universal and can be later applied to any HVAC network in all buildings or any other energy intensive equipment. The target market for such a product would be any government, private organization, housing schemes and industrial setups who get fix quota. | |
How will the solution works | |
The proposed solution is deployment of an IoT based smart nodes on selected HVACs. These nodes will continuously monitoring energy parameters and power factor of HVAC loads. These acquired parameters will be sent to cloud database using wireless technologies. These parameters will be stored and processed through Machine learning algorithms. This will monitor the peak demand factor at all times, anticipate future loads and optimize the system such that the peak demand factor is reduced | |
