Idea Name: Motorbike Damper
Slogan: Comfort is our priority
Startup Domain: Process Improvement Automation industry specifically Motor bike industry
Abstract:
Conventional orifice dampers in Pakistan don't have an effective shock absorption. Shim stack dampers are more effective viscous dampers and they have already become conventional for motorcycles abroa
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
The shock system currently being used in Pakistan's motorbikes is inefficient and uncomfortable to say the least, our shock system tends to increase the efficiency and reduce the discomfort as much as possible.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
Motorbike is the most widely used mode of conveyance in Pakistanas 1 out of 3 are bike users. So, on a wider scale our product is targeting the motorbike manufacturing industry of Pakistan but on a narrower scale we are targeting every motor-bike rider. .
How will the solution works
The shim stack technology used in our damper restricts the oil flow providing more damping than a standard damper. The shims bend to allow a minute amount of oil flow through them. The viscosity of the oil makes sure that the flow is laminar and makes the damping action smooth. In a traditional damper, oil merely flows through the piston and most of the damping action is done via a preloaded spring
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
Automotive OEMs Our solution is different in the sense that this technology is not being used in Pakistan but it has almost become conventional in other countries
