Idea Name: HoloCall

Abstract:
    HoloCall will allow users to visually communicate with their distant loved ones or colleagues by the concept of augmented reality. Users will be able to see the other person as 3-dimensional hologram.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Many a people especially students are away from homes and don't get to see their loved ones for a long time. Research shows 70% of all students feel homesick in their early days. This project allows these people to not only communicate with their loved ones, but also feel their presence at that time
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   People living in different cities, students studying in universities, overseas citizens, large business firms etc. These are the people that would most commonly benefit from this project. Approximately 7,600,000 Pakistanis, 4% of the population, live abroad and would benefit from this project.
How will the solution works
    A 3-dimensional image will be created using two cameras whose separate images will be combined into one 3D image. This image will then be compressed and the data will be transmitted in the real time. On the receiver end, the data is taken and displayed in the form of a holographic 3D image whose result is shown on a wearable spectacles, thus, creating a visual display of the image, that is being recorded, in real time.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Many large firms like Microsoft are working on a similar idea. Although their project has more functionality but it costs the user $5000 and the developer $3000 for the lens making it very costly for normal use. Our solution focuses mainly on visual display in spectacles making it easily accessible.
