Idea Name: HealthHub
Slogan: Connecting Labs, Doctors, and Patients
Startup Domain: Mobile Apps Health Care
Abstract:
HealthHub aims to innovate the healthcare sector by redefining the way diagnostic reports from clinical labs are shared with doctors and patients using interactive visualizations and smartphones.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
Currently patients have to carry printed diagnostic reports to doctors. This implicates huge traveling cost for 112mil rural population and takes up a lot of patient and doctor’s time in scheduling and consultancy (10,000:8 patient-doctor ratio in PK, 90% out-of-pocket pending by rural populalation)
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
Hundreds of clinical labs and hospitals throughout Pakistan can share diagnostic reports; 30million internet or smartphone users can view lab reports on the web or their phone; thousands of doctors can view the shared reports and provide feedback saving theirs and patients time and energy.
How will the solution works
Partner clinical labs transmit the diagnostic reports to HealthHub. Patient can share a report to a doctor using mobile phone or the report is automatically shared if requested by the same doctor. Both the patient and doctor can view interactive diagnostic reports from various labs on their phone or the web platform without a need to carry printed versions. Doctors can also provide feedback on shared reports and the patient is immediately notified.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
Islamabad Diagnostic Centre, Aga Khan and Shaukat Khanum Labs provide a web access to their diagnostic reports for patients. They operate in isolation; reports are non-interactive and do not conform to Meaningful Use standard, and are not shared with doctors resultantly printing is still required.
